Distraction
​
She wanted to create simple rhythmic visual where there is a sense of comfort when you look at it, But once in a while you will be distracted by the sound of the busy city like sounds of car engines, car honks, construction and much more. When you hear the sound, your concentration will convert from the artwork to the sound because it was such a quiet space.
​
The reason behind this artwork was to express the different level of distraction by different people. Some are able to concentrate with all the sound around, but some can't concentrate with the most little sound around them. While we were students, the school systems arrange us by our grade which its not wrong but this makes some of us feel stupid just because we can't do well in our exams.

Introvert
​
Some see introverts as unapproachable. In contrary some introverts just want to communicate with everyone but just can't bring themselves to it. Most introverts had tried connecting with people but sometimes the environment or just small things can throw them off. Visually all of us are just human beings, but sometimes introvert just can't place themselves in the same circle as everyone else and feels so different from everyone else as if they are from another planet.
​
Always feeling so different from everyone else she surrounds herself with gave her the idea to create a minimalist artwork which uses all the normal painting materials but challenges the traditional painting methods. Showing this work in an exhibition where most artwork uses traditional painting techniques, makes her work look out of place which is exactly how she feels most of the time.
Painting?
​
Not being able to share feelings or thinking is it normal? When someone is quiet, people tend to think they are either hiding something or they are being rude and ignoring people. In reality, some people just find it hard to express themselves and just need some help to feel comfortable enough to let them express freely
​
Sometimes not expressing an opinion or feelings is better than oversharing. Being locked up and tied so it doesn’t expose anything, playing it safe to not offend anyone. Do you still call this a painting? It has no intends to express, contribute or share any particular topic or issue.

Communication
​
How people talk is affected by the people they are with and the surrounding. Sometimes they can communicate very well, while others times they can't. The way we talk to a person is based on first impressions, the way they look, the way they talk, the way they present themselves. So we should always treat others the way we want to be treated, because the way people treat us is a reflection of how we treat them. The way people communicate with us can be said as we are the ones controlling it.
​
That's why she decided to place different sounding bells in front of mirrors, so people get to choose which bell they would like to hear as a way of showing how we control the way people talk to us.

Pigeon Post

This artwork represents the way we communicate with our deceased family members. During Qing Ming Festival we ask how they are and update them about our life. We also burn joss paper as offerings, it can also be said as sending them daily necessities and luxurious items. These traditions are similar to sending letters to a faraway relative, hence the use of letters.
​
After Qing Ming Festival it gets quiet around here, fortunately, many birds fly around to accompany and entertain them.
